Subject: Review and Forward Recommendation for NH-44 Bridge Phase-II

The file pertaining to the construction of Bridge Phase-II on National Highway-44 has been examined in detail. The following observations are recorded:

1. Technical Feasibility:

The technical feasibility report prepared by the Sub-Division office is comprehensive. The proposed bridge design (4x30m PSC Girder spans) is appropriate for the site conditions. The structural design conforms to IRC:SP-6 and IRC:SP-54 specifications.

2. Financial Verification:

The estimated cost of ₹12.45 Cr has been verified against CPWD Schedule of Rates 2026. The budget allocation under head 5054-00-796-01-11 is adequate for the current financial year. Rate analysis for non-schedule items has been examined and found reasonable.

3. Clearances:

Land clearance from Revenue Department: Obtained. Environmental NOC from GPCB: Obtained. Forest clearance: Obtained. Railway clearance: Pending (expected within 15 days).

4. Site Conditions:

Site inspection report and geotechnical survey data have been reviewed. Soil bearing capacity of 18-22 T/sqm supports well foundation design at 12m depth. Hydrological data for 50-year flood level incorporated in the design.

Recommendation:

The proposal is technically sound and financially viable. All necessary clearances have been obtained except Railway NOC which is in process. It is recommended that the file may be forwarded to the Circle Office (Superintending Engineer) for review and concurrence, and subsequently to the Chief Engineer for technical sanction.
