Notification Settings

Which events notify officers, and on which channel. The system talks to a notification engine, not to any one provider — so the department can change SMS or WhatsApp vendor without the software changing.

WhatsApp requires the official Business Platform through an approved provider — a personal WhatsApp number cannot be used by a government system. Software integration is part of the project; platform fees and per-conversation charges are operational costs carried by the department and vary by provider.
